For the month of September, our Sunday services will be focused on the church and the home. Specifically, we will discuss the marks of a faithful church member, New Testament giving, and the Christian family. For the first time since my arrival at Sophia, I will preach on giving and how we are to understand it in the New Testament. On September 11-13, I will be attending and speaking at the Roadmap to Revival Conference at Covenant Reformed Baptist Church in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Please pray for this conference and for safe travels. Because of the timing and travel time, Preacher Curtis Bouldin will be preaching on the 14th even though I hope to be here for the service. Wednesdays will be exciting. We will start the month out with a Q&A where I will answer your Bible questions from the floor. As a dear friend says, no question will go unanswered because, “I don’t know” is a valid answer. The other Wednesdays will continue our study on addressing other beliefs and hardening our core doctrinal positions. If you have come to faith in Christ and need to be baptized, please reach out personally or using the contact card in the back of the pew.
His slave,
Jonathan Burris
